Kids CIC now deals with the membership that you used to pay to the Newcastle Branch of Playgroup Network. Membership costs are as follows:

Kids CIC firmly embraces raising standards within groups and in professional development. With this in mind we have an Early Years Professional in post that can fully support your group and your own professional development. Support is very much individualised to the groups needs and will vary from group to group. We understand your worries, frustrations and concerns. We are here to listen to you and support you as YOU need.
Membership benefits include:
Development Adviser (EYP)
• Visits by Development Adviser (EYP)
• SEF guidance
• Planning guidance
• Observation guidance
• EYP mentoring (cost incurred, although reduced for members)
• Pre and post Ofsted advice
• Mock Ofsted (cost incurred, although reduced for members)
• EYFS guidance
• Model good practice
• Peer observation
Inclusion: (Inclusion visit regardless of membership)
• Visits by knowledgeable and experienced staff
• Groups receive one visit per term. Follow up and support visits are organised in response to requests from playgroup and nursery staff.
• Visits may involve giving advice on adaptations to the environment and equipment and suggestions on appropriate activities.
• To ensure groups are working to SEN Code of Practice.
• With playgroup and nursery staff, Inclusion Advisers may also:

o identify children who may need additional support
o make referrals to other agencies
o work closely with parents
o develop action plans
o support staff to develop IPP’s (individual play plans)
o discuss appropriate targets
o develop appropriate strategies
o observe children within a group setting
o link in with Children’s Centres
